Forest Moon Theater is excited to bring improvisational theater to Wake Forest. On Saturday, October 25, for one night only and just in time for Halloween, you’ll find out why “It’s Funny to Be Scared!” Enjoy a Halloween-themed evening of unscripted performances at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, beginning with The Estessentials , a student improv group from Estes Tarver’s Moonlight Stage Company, and followed by Transactors Improv: For Families, a professional troupe that has been entertaining people of all ages in the Triangle area for a number of years.
“It’s Funny to Be Scared” is family friendly show appropriate for ages 8 and older. If you’re familiar with improvisational theater, you know you can expect an energetic, fun show that is created before your eyes as it is being performed (think Saturday Night Live). You can purchase discounted tickets in advance using the button below. Buying your ticket in advance guarantees you a seat. Advance tickets are $10 adults/seniors and $8 students (ages 8-17). The Estessentials improv troupe is comprised of the teens studying improv and acting at Moonlight Stage Company (formerly Estes Tarver’s Studio). They work on stage, for their respective schools, for local Raleigh theaters, and on camera in film and television. Estessentials has a very distinct voice and they are a great example of the incredible talent that exists in the youth of the Triangle area.
