Community

Our community theater draws primarily upon our local area’s residents and businesses for volunteers, support, advertising, and donations. This doesn’t mean that we are limited to Wake Forest and surrounding areas. In fact, a number of actors and volunteers come to us from all over the Triangle area. Our focus, though, is on giving people opportunities to participate in community theater without having to travel long distances, and we have discovered there is a wealth of talent, skills, and energy very close to home.

Because we are a young theater formed in 2012, we do not yet have the resources to compensate participants financially. Actors, directors, technical crew, and other volunteers contribute their time and talent for the love of theater. We give back to the community in the form of productions that are as professional as we can achieve with the resources available to us.

Attending Performances
Aside from the fact that you enjoy good entertainment, attending our performances is an important way to support our work. You can help us grow by spreading the word among your family, friends, and co-workers. We depend on word-of-mouth advertising, and you are ones who make that happen.

Volunteering
So how can you help us and show your support for local theater? First, if you enjoy acting, there is an obvious choice for you. Not everyone is an actor, though, and we have so many other ways you can help directly with productions and with the business of running a theater–which is no small task and involves a lot of time, dedication and love of the arts. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve ever done this before, or if it was years ago, or if you work with other theaters, too. We welcome all volunteers. Please let us know how you’d like to participate.

Donations
In addition to volunteering your time and talent, if you’d like to make a financial donation and help us cover our expenses–which ticket sales alone do not support–we would be most grateful. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so all your donations of money or property are considered charitable contributions. We accept donations through CrowdRise, PayPal, and directly by check.

Advertising and Sponsorships
If you are a business, you can place ads in our programs that highlight your business and demonstrate one of the many ways you give back to the community. In addition to advertising, you can choose to be a season sponsor or a show sponsor and receive recognition on our website, in curtain speeches at every performance, and in all our marketing materials. You’ll find all the advertising and sponsorship details here on our website.

Please help us build a strong community theater in Wake Forest. We have big plans, and you are our future.
